Cultural Arts is a very broad category, which includes any creative skill which could be practical, aesthetic, entertaining, or even when used as an exercise. Examples of each would be as follows:

Practical: sewing, weaving, bead work, woodworking, ironworks & welding, leatherworks, die-cutting, invention, drafting, macrame, crafts, instructional or technical writing, photography, etc.

Currently, the Cultural Arts team has created and sold numerous utility aprons made from recycled jeans. One of our members also makes little notebooks and gift wrapping bows from recycled magazines and cardboard packaging materials.

Your ideas are welcomed!
Aesthetic: drawing, painting, scultpting, crafts, decoupage, carving, weaving, bead work, woodworking, ironworks, leatherworks, macrame, photography, etc.
Entertaining: instrumental and vocal music, dance, acting, creative writing, storytelling, any of the above skills
Exercise: dance, yoga and other coreographed fitness programs, creation of exercise equipment using a number of the mediums mentioned above

Cultural Arts is currently forming as a group facilitated by Sandi Hughes, who can be contacted by emailing her at news@sandihughes.us. See our Calendar for details of upcoming events.
